Re: Covid-19 Cancellations

UPDATE AS OF 7.26.20: Restaurants and Retail stores are open while adhering to social distancing measures. The plaza downtown is closed off on weekends to enjoy outdoor dining with distancing, and it's lovely. It feels like Europe!

This is still an outstanding time to visit. Trails are open, lakes are close by to cool off, there are still a lot of things to do. Please visit our informative Chamber of Commerce website for upcoming events that are sure to pique your interest! www.ashlandchamber.com

We are OPEN! We are taking reservations now (Did you see our Summer Special?!) and will approach each one uniquely, with time and space in between each booking to insure proper cleaning and distance measures.

With the goal of creating the safest and most sanitized space for our guests, we will not be entering your room for servicing but will happily provide you with the necessities you need while here.

To our guests: We understand that Covid-19 has resulted in the imposition of extreme measures worldwide, and we are profoundly sympathetic to those of our guests who find themselves most at risk during this crisis. We want to reassure you that The Chanticleer Inn is OPEN and committed to ensuring your health and safety. Consistent with CDC and WHO guidelines, we have instituted the following measures:

  • All rooms and common areas are being sanitized from top to bottom
  • All surfaces, light switches and doorknobs are being sanitized between guests
  • All check-ins will have our secure lock-box self check in option - limited to no interaction as needed.
  • In lieu of our community style breakfasts when we have more than 4 guests at a time, we will be doing bento-style boxes of individual meals prepped per room. Think fresh, homemade breads/scones, yogurts, fruit, granolas, eggs, etc. – We promise they will be beautiful and delicious! *there will also be an 'opt-out' option, with an additional discount per person.
  • Suspended and limited housekeeping services, so that no one will be entering your room during your stay. Replenishments will be available daily and conveniently.

We are doing everything in our power to protect our guests and to accommodate the inevitable changes to travel plans, while trying to ensure the future of our business and this beloved community. In light of OSF's cancelled season, we will waive our standard policy of retaining deposits for cancellations. We would ask that those guests who are able to do so transfer their existing reservation to a later date, as an expression of your commitment to the Ashland community and the Chanticleer Inn. Our foremost concern is our collective health and welfare.

For those of you unsure of future dates, we would gladly issue a voucher good for redemption within one year of the original reservation (with flexibility), also redeemable as a gift to a person/s of your choice.

Our business has been built on thirty, beautiful years of relationship, and we hope that you will not let this crisis deter you from planning a trip to Ashland. As part of our remodeling effort, we have expanded our outdoor sitting areas for more privacy and distance and encourage you to take some quality time spent shopping, hiking, or visiting with friends. COMING SOON: Wine tastings & Pairings!
